Adoption in Merseyside (AiM) has reached its’ fourth Birthday. April 3rd marks the 4 year anniversary since the four local authorities, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral councils came together to bring adoption knowledge and experience under one roof.
AiM finds families for children in care as well as providing professional support throughout the process and after the adoption takes place. Since merging, AiM have placed over 300 children into loving and stable homes.
Jenny Ness, Head of Service “We are very proud to be celebrating our fourth birthday, the team have worked hard to provide a professional and supportive service. We are still looking for adopters as recruitment remains top priority for us and every year there are over 70 children across Merseyside needing a loving family, including those harder to place children that may have additional needs”.
